Bluestone Shutters and Shades (“Bluestone”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Details you give us when you request a quote, call, email or message us: your name, phone number, email address, suburb or address, and details about your windows and the products you are interested in.
- Information needed to measure, quote, make and install your order, such as window measurements, photos of your windows, and delivery and installation details.
- Basic information about how you use our website, collected through cookies and Google Analytics (for example pages visited, device type, approximate location and how you found us). This does not identify you by name.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange your free measure and quote.
- To prepare quotes, take orders, make and install your products, and provide warranty service.
- To contact you about your quote, order or installation.
- To improve our website and advertising, and to understand which services people are looking for.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where needed to deliver our services, for example with the Adelaide workshop that makes your curtains and blinds, our installers, our website host (Hostinger) and email provider, and Google (for website analytics and advertising measurement). We may also disclose information where required by law.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. More information about how Google uses data is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure (HTTPS) website connections, password-protected systems and limiting access to people who need it. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
